Wildcats to Travel to Los Angeles for Pac-12 Championships

TUCSON, Ariz. – Arizona Track and Field is set to open up the postseason at the Pac-12 Championships in Los Angeles, Calif. on May 14-16.

Friday's events are set to begin at 10:00 a.m. MST with the men's hammer throw where Israel Oloyede, Jordan Geist and Jakob Chamberlin will compete for the Wildcats. Oloyede will enter the conference championships ranked third in the NCAA with a mark of 72.91m (239-2). Geist currently has the sixth-best mark of 71.19m (233-7).

Running events will follow at 5:00 p.m. MST beginning with the men's 200m, featuring Johnnie Blockburger, Umajesty Williams, Trevor Volpe, Trent Stimac and Tayvian Cunningham.

Multis athletes Dominic Gehr and Skylar Sieben will also be competing in the men's decathlon and women's heptathlon on Friday and Saturday. Gehr will open up the combined events at 2:00 p.m. MST followed by Sieben at 2:30 p.m.
