EUGENE, Ore. – Arizona Track & Field sprinter
Mason Lawyer finished fifth in his heat, 9th overall, to advance to the men's 100m final, and finished fourth in his heat, 9th overall, to advance to the men's 200m final at Hayward Field in Eugene.
Mason Lawyer ran a 10.15 to finish fifth in heat three and ninth overall, qualifying him for the finals in the 100m. Lawyer ran a 20.40 to finish fourth in heat two and ninth overall, qualifying him for the finals in the 200m on Friday.
Tyler Michelini earned Second-Team All-American Honors with an 11th-place finish in the men's shot put (18.88m/61-11.5). The men's 4x100m relay team earned Second-Team All-American Honors with a 10th-place finish (38.79).
John Parades finished 23rd in the 110m hurdles with a time of 13.95, grabbing Honorable Mention All-American.
Lawyer will be back on the track on Friday at 5:52 p.m. MST for the 100m final, and at 6:37 p.m. MST for the 200m final.
