Lauren Ware helped the United States take gold at the U19 World Cup.

Ware finished the tournament averaging 5.9 points, 4.9 rebounds and a block per game while shooting 57% from the field. She did work on the offensive boards, averaging over two a game, including four in the Gold Medal Game. Ware's top scoring performance came in the Round of 16 when she scored 11 points on 5-6 shooting from the field vs. Chinese Tapiei.

Gisela Sanchez, who competed for Spain.

Sanchez helped the Spaniards finish in seventh place, averaging 6.6 points, 3 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game while shooting 43% from the field. She scored in double-figures three times, including a tournament-high 13 points with two made three-pointers in the quarterfinals vs. the United States. She also had a seven-point, eight-rebound performance in group phase vs. Brazil.
