TUCSON, Ariz. – After two meets on the road, Arizona cross country is set to host their only home meet of the season, the annual Dave Murray Invitational, on Friday, Oct. 1 at Rolling Hills Golf Course.

Competition will kick off at 7:00 a.m. opening with the women's 6k race followed by the men's 8k at 7:45. Live results can be found here.

Prior to the start of the meet, head coach Bernard Lagat will be hosting an Arizona Cross Country Talk at 6:15 a.m.. The event is non-ticketed and open to the public.

Making the trip to Tucson will be Arizona State, Grand Canyon, New Mexico State and San Diego State.

Last time out, the women placed third and the men finished seventh out of 24 teams at the UC Riverside Invitational on Sept. 18. Grace Driskill was the top finisher on the women's side, placing third in the 6k with a time of 20:28.4, good for a PR. Peyton Heiden (20:59.1), Maddy Christopher (21:12.1), Meggie Karp (21:43.7) and Megan Bounds (22:45.9) also clocked personal best times, tallying a total of five PRs for the women's team who is now ranked 15th in the USTFCCCA West Region rankings. On the men's side, Shem Kemboi crossed the finish line first with an 8k time of 24:35.2 and a 24th place finish. Timothy Kibet (25:04.6), Jeffrey Sillers (25:30.5) and Brandon Bounds (26:11.0) all finished with PRs.
