Tucson, Ariz. - Arizona added another win to their spring season after a 4-1 win over San Jose State University. The Wildcats remain undefeated on their turf with a 6-1 record.
The Cats took the doubles point to put them at a 1-0 lead. Belen Nevenhoven and Midori Castillo finished first with a 6-1 sweep against O. Bances Iglesias and Jovana Babic. Finalizing the doubles point was Kirsten Prelle and Kayla Wilkins with another 6-1 sweep against Alba Pedrero Galindo and Lara Marco Mas.
Arizona grabbed three of the six singles points. Castillo took the first singles point for the Cats with a 6-1, 6-4 win over R. Villan Pereira. Second off the courts was Nevenhoven with a 6-4, 6-1 win against Bances Iglesias. Wilkins took the third singles point for Arizona after a three set battle against Oleskan Andrieieva that went 6-4, 3-6, 6-3.
The Wildcats finished their weekend at home with two more wins heading into the Blue Gray Tennis Classic. After their weekend away, the women are back home to host Washington State on Friday, March 4, 2022.
