Skylar Sieben, Katie Daily Highlight First Day at Pac-12 Invitational

SEATTLE, Wash. – The Wildcats finished the first day of the Pac-12 Invitational with two event wins and a multitude of personal records broken. The second day of the meet will begin at 12:00 p.m. MST with Talie Bonds, Diana Ramos, and Alexa Porpaczy in the women's high jump, and the women's shot put highlighted by Samantha Noennig and Mackenna Orie.

Day One Highlights
Katie Daily started off the meet with an impressive performance in the women's pole vault where she vaulted a collegiate PR of 4.17m to win the event and become a Pac-12 Invitational Champion.

Skylar Sieben was the second Wildcat to win their event and become a Pac-12 Invitational Champion as she put up an overall PR in the pentathlon with 4,072 points. She earned personal bests in three of the five events (60m Hurdles – 8.57, Shot put – 12.25m, 800m – 2:21.51) and never placed lower than the top four in any event. Hollan Powers also earned an overall PR of 3,587 points in the pentathlon to finish within the top 10.

Dominic Gehr represented the Wildcats well in the first day of the heptathlon with two third place finishes in the high jump (1.96m) and the shot put (PR – 13.11m).He is currently in sixth place with 2,864 points going into the second day.

Neysia Howard brought her all in the first day of the invitational with a second-place finish in the 200m dash with an indoor PR of 24.13 while also qualifying for the finals in the 60m dash with another PR of 7.42. Trayvion White-Austin mirrored his fellow sprinter by qualifying for the 60m dash finals with a PR of 6.70 and a second-place finish in the 200m dash with a time of 21.17.

Jakob Chamberlin landed in the top eight of the men's weight throw with a new PR of 19.67m. Reinaldo Rodrigues closed out the meet for the Wildcats with a PR of his own in the men's long jump with a distance of 7.24m to place within the top five of the event.
