Tempe, Ariz. - No. 48 Arizona defeated No. 48 Rice 4-3 after stumbling in doubles but coming back in singles. 

Despite losing the doubles point, the Wildcats rebounded with four singles points. 

Salma Ziouti took the first point for the Cats after defeating Victoria Smirnova in two straight sets 7-5, 6-3. Kayla Wilkins was next winning 6-3, 3-6, 6-2 over Anastasia Smirnova, and Lexi Ryngler tied the match after she defeated Federica Trevisan 0-6, 6-4, 6-2. 

Freshman Midori Castillo clinched the match against the Owls with her 2-6, 7-5, 6-3 win over Allison Zipoli. 

The women are back at home to host two more Pac-12 teams: No. 19 Stanford on Friday, April 1 at 11 a.m., and No. 14 California on Saturday, April 2 at noon.
