SALT LAKE CITY, Utah — A six-run third inning downed the Arizona Wildcats (24-12, 11-7) in their series finale against the Utah Utes (20-14-1, 7-8) on Saturday morning. The 11-4 victory for the hosts handed Utah the series win.
Shortstop and leadoff hitter
Nik McClaughry led the offense with a 4-for-5, two RBI performance at the plate. He also contributed on defense, flashing the leather for a smooth 6-4-3 double play in bottom of the sixth.
Designated hitter
Tanner O'Tremba swatted a solo home run in the third inning, giving him a home run in each of his last two games and five on the year.
