EUGENE, ORE. – Arizona Track and Field travel up to Eugene to battle the rest of the conference at the Pac-12 Championships. Last year, the Wildcats finished with three event winners including current Wildcat
Samantha Noennig, who won the women's shot put.
49 athletes will compete at the Championships including
Shannon Meisberger,
Talie Bonds,
Lillian Lowe,
Skylar Sieben, and
Samantha Noennig, who place in the top-25 in the NCAA in their events as they head into the end of the season.
The Cats will duel several teams ranked within the USTFCCCA top-25. On the men's side they will face No. 7 Oregon, No. 8 USC, No. 11 Stanford, No. 19 Washington, No. 22 Arizona State and No. 25 California, while the women will compete against No. 9 Oregon, No. 15 Washington, No. 16 Arizona State, No. 18 Stanford, No. 21 USC, No.24 California, and No. 25 Colorado.

In their last competition, the Wildcats competed at home in the Desert Heat Classic at Roy P. Drachman Stadium.
Shannon Meisberger led the way by bringing home another event win with a time of 57.15 in the 400m hurdles.
Noennig put up two top-five performances at the Desert Heat Classic. In the discus, she placed fourth with a mark of 53.95m (177'0") while also finishing second in the shot put with a 17.47m throw (57'-3.75"). The high jump squad continued to dominate with three Cats in the top-three.
Alexa Porpaczy won the event with a 1.78m jump with
Lillian Lowe and
Diana Ramos tying for third.
Katie Daily followed suit by tying for second in the women's pole vault with a 3.85m vault.
Tanner Kippes logged a huge PR in the pole vault with a sixth-place finish on a vault of 5.20m.
Jenica Bosko put up the eight-best mark in school history in the long jump with a second-place PR mark of 6.10m (20'-0.25"). Three men's long jumpers landed in the top-seven with
Reinaldo Rodrigues jumping a third-place mark of 7.57m followed by
Razeen Khaldun tying his PR in sixth and
Jacorey Jones jumping a season-best to place seventh.
Talie Bonds put up a great time for the Cats with a second-place finish in the 100m hurdles with a 13.25. Freshman
Zachary Extine placed fourth with a new PR of 14.39 in the 110m hurdles.
