TUCSON, Ariz. – Arizona Football running back Michael Wiley was named Honorable Mention for the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award Player of the Week for his performance in the win over No. 11 Oregon State during Week 9.
 
Michael Wiley was named to the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award Watch List in August. The award honors the nation's best college football players who are originally from Texas. He made five receptions for 58 yards to surpass the 1,000-yard receiving mark for his career in the win over the Beavers.
 
The senior from Houston became the second running back in program history to record 1,000 receiving yards and now leads the program all-time with 1,034 total receiving yards (2nd; Vance Johnson, 1,014). Wiley also has recorded 115 receptions during his career, marking the most by an Arizona Wildcat in program history.
 
Wiley is third among active FBS running backs with 1,034 receiving yards trailing only Jo'Quavious Marks (Miss. State) with 1,196 and Tyrone Tracy Jr. (Purdue) with 1,095 receiving yards.
 
In the win over Oregon State last Saturday, Wiley matched his career high with a pair of receiving touchdowns. It marks the second game in his career that he's caught two touchdown passes (1st; vs. Colorado, Oct. 1, 2022).
 
The Wildcats are back in action against No. 20 UCLA on Homecoming Saturday, Nov. 4. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. MST on FS1.
