MESA, Ariz. — The Arizona Wildcats (1-1) dropped their second game at the MLB Desert Invitational, a 5-0 loss to Fresno State on Saturday afternoon at Sloan Park.
Cats starting pitcher Anthony Susac (0-1) posted a quality start in his first appearance of the season, working six innings and allowing just three runs on seven hits while striking out a pair. He took the loss, his first of the year.
Freshman left-hander
Jackson Kent made his collegiate debut and worked the final three innings for Arizona. The southpaw allowed two runs on a home run in the eighth but was otherwise effective, also notching his first three career strikeouts.
