TUCSON, Ariz. – Junior pitcher
Devyn Netz was named Pac-12 Player of the Week following an outstanding performance at the Razorback Invitational, the conference announced on Monday.
Netz impressed at the plate during the weekend, leading the team with four home runs in five games and a 1.143 slugging percentage at the Razorback Invitational. She hit a home run in each of Arizona's first three games of the tournament, including two home runs against then-No. 7 Arkansas.
The Sierra Madre, Calif. native drove in 10 runs for Arizona during the weekend – all on home runs – and pushed Arizona to its second ranked win of the season with a three-run shot in the second game of the doubleheader against Arkansas.
Netz also started three games in the circle and struck out nine batters through 16.2 innings pitched at the Razorback Invitational.
This is Netz's first career weekly Pac-12 honor.
