PHOENIX, Ariz. – Sophomore Sydney Bryan carded No. 15 Arizona Women's Golf's best score of the day in Sunday's third and final round of the PING/ASU Invitational. The UNLV transfer fired a 1-under round of 71 as the Wildcats finished the tournament in 15^th place at 37-over par.

"We did not perform to our standards as a team this weekend, which was disappointing for us to do in a desert golf setting," said head coach Laura Ianello. "Our team will take a lot away from this weekend and grow from this experience. The young ladies on our team are competitive, driven and dedicated, and I know they will bounce back from this weekend."

Arizona's top finisher for the tournament was senior Gile Bite Starkute who finished in a tie for 30^th at 5-over. Starkute tallied Arizona's lowest round on the first two days of the tournament. The Wildcats were without All-Pac-12 sophomore Carolina Melgrati who missed the event as she prepares to participate in the Augusta National Women's Amateur for a second consecutive year.

Northwestern won the event at 18-under, besting host Arizona State by 14 strokes to claim the team title. NU's Kelly Sim tied Sera Hasegawa from Baylor for the individual championship at 10-under par.

The Wildcats will return to action for their annual trip to the Silverado Showdown, beginning on Monday, April 3. The event features a heavy field of Pac-12 programs in Napa, California.
