TUCSON, Ariz. — The Arizona Wildcats (8-3) put together a complete performance to coast to a run-rule the North Dakota State Bison (1-11) by a score of 11-1 on Sunday afternoon.
Starting pitcher
Bradon Zastrow spun a gem on the mound, working six innings and allowing just one run on five hits while striking out eight. He earned the win to improve to 2-0 on the year.
Center fielder
Mac Bingham continued his weekend of hot hitting, going 3-for-5 at the plate with a pair of home runs and three RBI, including the walk-off single in the bottom of the eighth inning. Bingham now leads the team with five home runs this year.
First baseman
Kiko Romero also swatted a home run, a three-run shot in the third inning that was his second long ball in as many days.
Arizona's bullpen was also dominant, yielding just one hit while striking out three over two innings of work.
