PULLMAN, Wash. — The Arizona Wildcats (17-14, 5-11) dropped a back-and-forth game to the Washington State Cougars (20-12, 6-9) on a final score of 6-3 on Friday night at Bailey-Brayton Field.
Center fielder
Mac Bingham, hitting leadoff for the Wildcats, led the offense with a trio of hits, a run scored, and a double. Shortstop
Nik McClaughry (2-for-5) and third baseman
Tony Bullard (2-for-4) also collected multiple hits.
Starting pitcher
Jackson Kent, a lefty making his first collegiate start, turned in a solid performance for the Cats and did not factor into the decision. He worked 4.1 innings and limited the Cougars to three runs on five hits while striking out a pair.
