PULLMAN, Wash. — A ninth-inning rally fell short and the Arizona Wildcats (17-15, 5-12) dropped an 11-8 game to the Washington State Cougars (21-12, 7-9) on Saturday afternoon at Bailey-Brayton Field.
The Wildcats managed to push two runs across in the final frame and cut the Cougs lead from five to three, but ultimately couldn't close the gap.
Eight of Arizona's nine starting position players recorded a hit on Saturday, including four players who logged multiple knocks. Infielders

Kiko Romero both drove in a pair of runs, while outfielder
Brendan Summerhill swatted his second collegiate home run.

Bradon Zastrow worked 3.2 innings and took the loss. The left-hander piled up five strikeout over the course of his outing.
