Jalen Harris signs a free agent contract with the Chicago Bears and safety
Christian Young inks a free agent deal with the Seattle Seahawks.
Harris finished his collegiate career with 171 total tackles over 56 total games with the Wildcats. He joins the Chicago Bears, a franchise his father Sean Harris began his career with after being selected in the third round of the NFL Draft in 1995.
Jalen Harris was named Pac-12 Defensive Lineman of the Week following the Week 1 victory over San Diego State. Following the season, he appeared in the Hula Bowl becoming the first Wildcat to appear in the game since 2007. Harris joins Dane Cruikshank, Nick Foles, Ka'Deem Carey, and Nick Wilson as Wildcats who were members of the Bears roster at one point in their careers.
Christian Young inks a free-agent contract with the Seattle Seahawks. He made 182 total tackles over five seasons (48 games) with the Wildcats from 2018-2022. In 2022, Young finished with 77 tackles (third-most on the team) and added 6.5 tackles for loss, a half-sack, and two pass breakups.
The 2022 East-West Shrine Game featured Young as he became the second consecutive Wildcat to appear in the all-star game and the 64th Arizona football player to participate. He followed Stanley Berryhill III who appeared in the game in 2021.
Young adds his name to a prestigious list of Wildcats that have appeared in the East-West Shrine Game, including
Tedy Bruschi (1996), Dick Tomey (Coach, 1995), John Fina (1991), Bobby Wade (2003), Lance Briggs (2003), Mike Thomas (2008), Jace Whittaker (2019), among others.
