TUCSON, Ariz. — The Arizona Wildcats (33-24) hit the road to begin their NCAA Tournament journey this weekend at the Fayetteville Regional, where they will face the Arkansas Razorbacks, TCU Horned Frogs, and Santa Clara Broncos.
All games at the Fayetteville Regional will be televised on the ESPN family of networks and broadcast live on Wildcats Radio 1290 AM.
Arizona earned one of the last four spots in the NCAA Tournament during Monday's selection show, extending their postseason run to three consecutive seasons. This marks the Wildcats first time making three straight NCAA Tournament since 2010-12.
The Wildcats ride a hot streak into the weekend, having won seven of their last 10 games. Riding one of the nation's most potent offensive attacks and a rejuvenated pitching staff, the Cats entered last week's Pac-12 Baseball Tournament as the No. 8 seed and made a run all the way to the tournament final.

CRUSH DAVIS: Outfielder
Chase Davis has proven himself to be a prolific power hitter during his collegiate career. After swatting 18 home runs during his sophomore campaign, he has followed up with a career-high 21 home runs so far this year to give him 39 career long balls. Davis enters the regional all alone in third place on the Wildcats career leaderboard. His 18 home runs last year led the team, ranked third in the Pac-12, and were tied for the sixth most in a single season in program history. His 21 home runs this year are third most in program history, the most in the Pac-12, and Top 25 nationally.
PAC-12 ALL-CONFERENCE HONORS: Five Arizona Baseball standouts were honored with Pac-12 postseason awards last week, highlighted by the selection of star shortstop
Nik McClaughry as the Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year. In addition to McClaughry's major award selection he earned a spot on the Pac-12 All-Conference roster and Pac-12 All-Defensive Team. He was joined on the Pac-12 All-Conference team by outfielder

ALFA ROMERO: First baseman
Kiko Romero has put together one of the most prolific run-producing seasons in Arizona history. His 86 RBI entering the regional lead the Pac-12 by 12 and are the fourth most among all Division I players. Additionally, his rate of 1.51 RBI per game is the fifth best mark in Division I. Romero currently sits in a tie for first place on the Arizona single-season leaderboard. The junior leads the team with 23 multi-RBI performances across 57 games this season, the most since Nick Quintana recorded 23 in 56 games in 2019.
LIVE BY THE LONG BALL: The Arizona lineup has slugged home runs at a historic rate this season, having crushed 93 homers in 57 games so far. Their production has been wide spread too, with five Wildcats —

DAVIS HONORED AS GOLDEN SPIKES SEMIFINALIST: Junior outfielder
Chase Davis, one of the most accomplished sluggers in Arizona Baseball history, has been selected as one of 25 semifinalists for the Golden Spikes Award, USA Baseball announced on Monday. The Golden Spikes Award, now in its 45th year, is awarded annually to the nation's top amateur baseball player. Davis is the seventh Arizona player and the first outfielder to earn a spot on the Golden Spikes Award semifinalist list since 2007. He is one of just three Pac-12 players to earn the semifinalist distinction this year.Â
McCLAUGHRY NAMED BROOKS WALLACE SEMIFINALIST: Arizona Baseball senior shortstop
Nik McClaughry has been selected as a semifinalist for the 2023 Brooks Wallace Award, the College Baseball Foundation announced last week. The award honors the nation's top shortstop and will be presented this summer by the College Baseball Foundation. It is named for former Texas Tech shortstop Brooks Wallace, a slick-fielding shortstop who played for the Red Raiders from 1977 to 1980. Wallace died of leukemia at the age of 27.
