Four Wildcats Earn All-Big 12 Honors

TUCSON, Ariz. – Arizona Volleyball placed four players on the All-Big 12 teams, announced by the conference on Tuesday. Jaelyn Hodge and Jordan Wilson were named first-team All-Big 12 while Avery Scoggins was selected to the second team. Scoggins and Carlie Cisneros were named the Big 12 All-Rookie team.
 
Hodge earned the second all-conference honor of her career as a member of the All-Big 12 first team. The senior outside hitter/opposite recorded 380 kills and averaged 3.80 kills/set this season to rank second on the team in both categories. This season, Hodge set the Arizona records for sets played (520) and matches played (144). In addition, Hodge has recorded 1,591 career kills to rank fifth in Arizona history and she also ranks fourth in program history with 83 10+ kill matches during her career. This season, Hodge tallied 10 or more kills in 21 matches – including five matches with 20 or more kills – and recorded eight double-doubles.  
 
Wilson is garnering her second career all-conference honor as a first-team All-Big 12 member. She finished the regular season with 389 kills and averaged 3.81 kills/set to lead Arizona's offense. The junior outside hitter earned Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week honors after recorded a career high of 37 kills in Arizona's upset over then-No. 8 Kansas. Wilson recorded 10 or more kills in 21 matches and three matches with 20 or more kills. She also tallied a team-leading 12 double-doubles during the season and surpassed the 1,000 career kill mark with 1,034 career kills.

Scoggins was named second-team All-Big 12 and earned a spot on the All-Rookie team. She finished the regular season with 1,029 assists, averaging 10.50 assists/set, and 2.62 digs/set. The freshman setter was Arizona's first four-time conference freshman/rookie of the week and also became the fifth Wildcat in history to record 1,000 assists in their rookie season. She tallied 40 or more assists in 10 matches and set a career high of 61 assists in Arizona's upset over then-No. 8 Kansas. Scoggins recorded 11 double-doubles during the regular season.
 
Cisneros received All-Rookie honors for her first career all-conference honor. The freshman outside hitter totaled 275 kills, averaged 2.59 kills/set, and led the Wildcats with 326 digs, 3.08 digs/set and 40 aces. Cisneros recorded nine double-doubles during the regular season and her 326 digs ranks fifth in Arizona freshman history.
