Carlie Scupin, and
Allie Skaggs were named to the Preseason All-Pac-12 team, announced by the conference on Thursday.
DiNardo, a sophomore from San Mateo, California, is coming off an All-Region freshman campaign. DiNardo led Arizona with a .382 batting average which ranked ninth in the Pac-12 last season. She ranked third among conference freshman in batting average, on-base percentage (.458), and doubles (10) during the 2023 season. In addition, DiNardo held a 12-game on-base streak and recorded 15 multi-hit games as a freshman.
Kennedy is entering her sophomore season as a 2023 All-Region and All-Conference honoree. In 2023, the sophomore from Sacramento, California led the Wildcats with a .394 batting average, 28 hits, eight home runs, a .775 slugging percentage, a 1.257 OPS, and 18 runs during conference play. Overall, Kennedy tallied 15 multi-hit games and hit .356 during her freshman season which ranked fourth on the team.
Netz, a senior from Sierra Madre, California, had a breakout junior season totaling 44 hits, three doubles, and 13 home runs with 40 RBI. Netz's 13 home runs ranked second on the team and sixth in the Pac-12 last season. In the circle, she totaled a career best 135 strikeouts during the season.
Scupin enters her senior year as a three-time All-West player. In the 2023 season, Scupin led the team with a .745 slugging percentage and totaled 10 home runs, 10 doubles, and 37 RBI despite missing six weeks due to a broken forearm. She has totaled 38 career home runs to rank 26th in Arizona history. Scupin was named to the USA Softball Player of the Year Top 50 Watch List entering the 2024 season.
Skaggs enters her senior year as the reigning Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year and Gold Glove winner at second base. The Louisville, Kentucky native led the Wildcats with 14 home runs and 64 RBI in 2023. Defensive, Skaggs recorded a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage to become Arizona's first Gold Glove winner and fourth Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year. Skaggs was also named to the USA Softball Player of the Year Top 50 Watch List entering the 2024 season.
Arizona will open the season with the third-annual Candrea Classic on February 8. The tournament will feature Lipscomb, North Texas, Northern Colorado, and Utah Tech.
