TUCSON, Ariz. - Arizona's
Brooke Earley and
Gage DuBois have been named the Women's and Men's Pac-12 Divers of the Week, it was announced this afternoon.
The announcement comes after Earley and DuBois' stellar performances this weekend in Arizona's final dual meet against rivals Arizona State.
The honor marks junior
Brooke Earley's second career conference award, the first coming just three weeks ago. This past weekend, the diver represented the Wildcat women divers solo against four Sun Devil opponents. In the 1-meter event, Brooke took the top spot with a score of 305.03, 37.05 points higher than second place. In the 3-meter, Earley came out on top with 341.63, scoring 39.45 points above her second place opponent. The diver continues to display dominance on the boards in her dual meet performances, earning Arizona's women crucial points.
This is the first career conference award for
Gage DuBois, who is in his second year with the program. DuBois proves himself through consistent, high scoring and quality diving in invitationals and dual meets alike. This past weekend, DuBois took first place in both the 1-meter and the 3-meter events against No. 1 ASU. The diver put up 391.05 in the 1m, scoring 59.02 points higher than second place. In the 3m, DuBois scored 377.33, 29.33 points higher than second place.
The divers will next face off in competition at the Pac-12 Diving Championships beginning Wednesday, Feb. 28 and running through Saturday, March 2 in Federal Way, Wash.
