TUCSON, Ariz. – Arizona walked-off Central Michigan in nine innings to improve to 16-1 on the season. 
Regan Shockey went 3-for-5 and three Wildcats had two hits each. 
Carlie Scupin went 2-for-3 with two RBI.
 
Central Michigan scored in the first on an RBI single. The Chippewas added two more runs in the third inning on a two-run home run.
 
Arizona scored its first run of the game on a sacrifice fly from Scupin to make it 1-3 in the third inning. The Wildcats scored another run on a sac-fly in the bottom of the fifth.
 
In the sixth inning, Arizona tied the game on an RBI single from Shockey to score 
Allie Skaggs. Both teams held each other scoreless in the seventh to force extra innings.
 
In the eighth, CMU scored on an RBI single but the Wildcats tied the game at 4-4 with another sacrifice fly from Scupin.
 
Aissa Silva (8-0) retired the Chippewas in order in the top of the ninth. With 
Blaise Biringer on second base in the bottom of the ninth, 
Jasmine Perezchica forced a CMU error to score Biringer from second base and win the game.
 
Silva entered in the seventh inning and struck out four Chippewas in 3.0 innings to pick up her eighth win of the season. 
Brooke Mannon started in the circle, going 2.0 innings and allowing just one run. 
Ali Blanchard made her sixth appearance of the season, pitching 0.1 innings before 
Miranda Stoddard relived her in the third inning. Stoddard pitched 3.2 innings, allowing one run on one hit and striking out three batters.

Arizona will hit the road for two weekends beginning at Alabama's Crimson Classic on Friday, March 1 in Tuscaloosa, Ala. The Wildcats will face No. 10 Alabama, South Alabama, and Northern Iowa in the tournament.
