FORT WORTH, Texas — The Arizona Wildcats (4-4) fell behind early and ultimately fell 6-1 to the No. 5 ranked TCU Horned Frogs (9-0) on Wednesday night at Lupton Stadium.
In what ultimately amounted to a bullpen game, Arizona starting pitcher
Raul Garayzar (0-2) worked the first three frames and suffered the loss.
A trio of Arizona righties out of the bullpen posted scoreless outings. Between
Tony Pluta,
Casey Hintz, and
Trevor Long, the Cats got four innings of one-hit ball.
Second baseman
Garen Caulfield plated the Wildcats only run of the night in the eighth inning on an RBI single up the middle. He finished the game going 2-for-4 to maintain his team-leading .500 batting average.
