TUCSON, Ariz. – Arizona Track & Field concluded the Willie Williams Classic at Drachman Stadium on Saturday.
In the final day of the program's longest standing home meet, the Wildcats notched five first-place victories and 12 top-three finishes. Senior
Trayvion White-Austin stole the show for the Wildcats though, as he broke Michael Bates' 33-year-old school record in the 100m.
"We had a fantastic two days of competition at the Willie Williams Classic," said Head Coach
Fred Harvey. "Getting the opportunity to represent and celebrate Coach Williams this weekend with this meet is a great tribute. As a program we had an exceptional meet overall. Trayvion's school record in the 100m, which was a very difficult record to break, was amazing, especially doing it here at Drachman. It's still March though, and obviously we want to start at a high level, but we have to keep building from that to make us a championship level team. I'm really excited about what we've done and where we're going."
