EUGENE, Ore. — Seven RBI from
Brendan Summerhill and a dominant start from
Cam Walty were enough to lift the Arizona Wildcats (10-12, 4-5) to a 15-4 victory over the Oregon Ducks (15-7, 6-3) in their series finale on Sunday afternoon.
Walty worked 5.1 innings and limited Oregon to just two runs (one earned) on five hits while striking out eight. He earned the win to improve to 4-1 on the year.
Summerhill capped a career-best seven RBI performance with a grand slam in the eighth inning, part of a six-run frame that sealed the game for the Wildcats.
With the win, Arizona staved off a sweep and put themselves in the win column before heading home for a five-game homestand.
