DiNardo Named Pac-12 Player of the Week

TUCSON, Ariz. – Arizona Softball's Olivia DiNardo has been named the Pac-12 Player of the Week for the first time this season, announced by the conference on Monday.

DiNardo hit .500 (6-for-12) with three home runs, four RBI, five runs scored and had a 1.850 OPS during the week to help Arizona sweep New Mexico State in a doubleheader and win the series 2-1 over No. 22 Oregon.

In Arizona's series against Oregon, the sophomore from San Mateo, California went 5-for-10 and hit two home runs – a two-run homer in game one and a solo shot in game three. In the second game against Oregon, she went 3-for-4 to tie her season high in hits.

DiNardo helped the Wildcats tie the program record for home runs in a doubleheader (9) with a solo home run against New Mexico State.

Her 10 home runs rank third on the team and sixth in the Pac-12. Currently, she is on a four-game hitting streak and a five-game reached base streak.

This is DiNardo's second career Pac-12 Player of the Week honor and third Pac-12 weekly honor.
