TUCSON, Ariz. – Regan Shockey has been named to the Tucci/NFCA Division I Freshman of the Year Top 10 List, announced by the NFCA on Thursday.
 
Earlier this week, Shockey was named first-team All-Pac-12 and earned spots on the all-defensive and all-freshman teams. She earned Pac-12 Freshman of the Week honors four times this season and finished the regular season with a conference-leading 74 hits.
 
The Chino Hills, Calif. native is leading the Wildcats with a .420 batting average and 74 hits. Shockey leads the Pac-12 and ranks 13th in the nation in hits among all players. Her batting average leads all Pac-12 freshmen and ranks third among NCAA freshmen. She is ranked seventh in Arizona freshman history in hits.
 
Shockey and the five-seed Wildcats are set to play four-seed Washington in the second Pac-12 Softball Tournament on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. MST at Stanford.
