TUCSON, Ariz. – Arizona Softball has announced the addition of catcher/utility Sydney Stewart, a junior transfer from Washington.
 
"We are thrilled to welcome Sydney to the Arizona family!" said head coach Caitlin Lowe. "She has experience playing at the highest level and will bring that knowledge of the game to the team. She will be a great addition to the roster and we can't wait to welcome her to Tucson."
 
During her two seasons at Washington, Stewart totaled ten doubles, seven home runs, and 28 RBI across 91 games played. The San Jose, California native was named third-team NFCA All-Pacific Region in 2024 after posting a .321 batting average with eight doubles, five home runs, and 18 RBI. During the 2024 season, Stewart tallied seven multi-hit games and led the Huskies with 27 walks.
 
In 2023, Stewart appeared in 46 games and had 10 hits, two doubles, one triple, and two home runs.
 
Stewart will join transfer Saya Swain and incoming freshmen Emma Kavanaugh, Jenna Sniffen, Kate Vance, Anyssa Wild, and Sarah Wright in the fall.
