MALIBU, Calif. - Arizona Women's Tennis fell 1-4 to No. 16 Pepperdine in round two of ITA Kickoff Weekend Saturday afternoon.
Facing off against their top-25 opponent, the Cats held strong in doubles play with one 6-3 win on court two from
Belen Nevenhoven and
Josie Usereau over Liam Oved and Alexia Harmon.
After dropping the doubles point, the Cats went on to win one singles court before Pepperdine won the match. The win came from
Josie Usereau, who dominated No. 13 Savannah Broadus in straight sets 6-3, 6-3. Arizona dropped courts two, four and five.
