TUCSON, Ariz. – Arizona Women's Basketball and head coach Becky Burke will welcome season ticket holders to an exclusive open practice on Thursday, Oct. 16 inside McKale Center.
Doors will open at 2:30 p.m., with entry available through Gate A on the south side of McKale. Season ticket holders can secure their spot by submitting an RSVP here.
Fans in attendance will get an inside look at how the Wildcats prepare for the upcoming season, followed by an on-court Q&A session with Coach Burke, her staff, and the team.
Burke enters her first season at the helm of the Wildcats, bringing a fast-paced, high-energy style of play to Tucson. She inherits a roster blending lone retuner Montay Dew with several new faces. The group includes Tucson native Achol Magot (Texas Tech) and Freddie Wallace (Kansas), both bringing Big 12 experience, as well as Mickayla Perdue, the Horizon League Player of the Year, and Sumayah Sugapong, the Big West Championship Most Outstanding Player. Sugapong, a transfer from UC San Diego, also represented the Philippines in the FIBA Women's Asia Cup in China, while freshman Mireia Jurado competed internationally for Spain in the FIBA U18 Women's Eurobasket.
