Arizona Signs Transfer Forward Breanna Williams

TUCSON, Ariz. — Arizona Women's Basketball has signed transfer forward Breanna Williams, head coach Becky Burke announced today. Williams joins the Wildcats after one season at Maryland.

A 6-foot-2 forward from Billings, Montana, Williams will enter her Arizona career as a redshirt sophomore.

During the 2025-26 season at Maryland, Williams appeared in 24 games and scored in double figures three times. Among her top performances, Williams scored 10 points against Towson after shooting a perfect 6-for-6 from the free throw line. She added 12 points and eight rebounds against Bethune-Cookman, then posted 12 points, seven rebounds and three assists against Mount St. Mary's. She also scored eight points at Rutgers and contributed key minutes in road wins at USC and No. 12 Michigan State.

"Bre is an incredibly strong, skilled and versatile big that can score in a number of different ways," said Burke. "Her skill set along with her elite competitiveness will make her an immediate impact player in the Big 12. I love Bre's maturity and outlook on the game. She knows exactly what she wants and is willing to work for it. I couldn't be more thrilled that Bre is an Arizona Wildcat."

Before college, Williams was one of the most decorated players in Montana high school basketball history at Skyview High School. She was a two-time Montana Gatorade Player of the Year and ranked No. 21 nationally by ASGR and No. 45 by ESPN in her recruiting class. As a senior, Williams averaged 25.2 points, 11.4 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 3.2 steals per game.

Williams helped lead Skyview to state championships as both a sophomore and senior while earning three First Team All-Conference honors, three First Team All-State selections and three AA State Tournament MVP awards. She finished her prep career as Skyview's all-time leader with 1,645 career points and 879 career rebounds. Williams also excelled on the AAU circuit with the Northwest Blazers, winning the 2022 GUAA 16U National Championship on the Under Armour circuit.

"I chose Arizona because of the opportunity to build something special with Coach Burke," said Williams. "The standard that she holds her players to is elite, and she is going to push me to be a better player on and off the court."
