TUCSON, Ariz. — Arizona fell 1-0 to Utah on Senior Night Friday evening at Mulcahy Stadium, as the Utes' early goal proved decisive in a tightly contested match.

Utah (7-5-3, 2-2-2 Big 12) struck just over a minute into play when Bella Woods finished a cross from Kelly Bullock to give the Utes a 1-0 lead. Despite an even battle in possession and multiple second-half pushes, the Wildcats (7-8-0, 2-5-0) were unable to find an equalizer.

Senior goalkeeper Olivia Ramey recorded five saves in 90 minutes of work, keeping Arizona within striking distance. Trinity Dorsey and Lily Boydstun each tallied two of Arizona's five shots on the night, while Ella Hatteberg added another look early in the match.

The evening also marked the return of Aurora Gaines, who came off the bench after missing two matches due to injury. The sophomore midfielder provided a spark in her 30 minutes of action, helping Arizona press forward late in the second half.

Utah finished with nine shots and five corner kicks, while Arizona posted five shots and four corners.

The Wildcats will head to Provo to face BYU next Thursday before returning home Sunday, October 19 to host Texas Tech on ESPNU.
