TUCSON, Ariz. – Two Arizona Swim and Dive athletes won weekly awards in the Big 12 conference. Both men had outstanding performances last week to help defeat No. 15 USC.
Gage DuBois, senior, won Big 12 Diver of the Week, coming off his first meet of the season. DuBois had two second-place finishes against No. 15 USC. He scored 372.60 on the 3-meter and 357.45 on the 1-meter. DuBois will also be traveling to Austin to compete in the Texas Diving Invitational, November 13-15.
Duncan Henderson, a freshman, won Big 12 Newcomer of the Week. Henderson has had some amazing times the last few weeks, including three personal-best times against USC. He won first in the 100 Back with a time of 45.92, second in the 200 Back with a time of 1:43.94, and third in the 400 Medley Relay as the Leadoff with a time of 46.15. Henderson will be competing next at the Wolfpack Invite, November 20-22, in Greensboro, North Carolina.
