TUCSON, Ariz. — Arizona Football quarterback
Noah Fifita has been selected as one of 10 finalists for the Polynesian College Football Player of the Year Award, the Polynesian Football Hall of Fame announced on Tuesday.
Fifita, one of just two quarterbacks on the finalist list, looks to keep the honors in the Wildcat family after wide receiver
Tetairoa McMillan won the award following the 2024 season. The award is presented annually to the most outstanding college football player of Polynesian ancestry that epitomizes great ability and integrity; Fifita proudly boasts Tongan ancestry.
Fifita has posted one of the greatest passing performances in Arizona Football history this season, throwing for 26 touchdowns and 2,963 yards during the regular season, both of which rank top ten in program history. He ranked among the top four quarterbacks in the Big 12 Conference in passing touchdowns, yards, completions, and passing efficiency. In leading the Wildcats to nine regular season wins and a bowl berth, Fifita was honored by the Big 12 Conference with a First Team All-Big 12 selection, making him just the third quarterback in program history to earn first team all-conference honors. Fifita, a redshirt junior, participated in the 2022 Polynesian Bowl and was selected as one of the game's All-Stars.
The winner of the Polynesian College Football Player of the Year Award will be announced on Dec. 16, while the formal presentation of the award will be held at the 2026 Polynesian Football Hall of Fame Celebration Dinner on January 17, 2026.
Fifita and the Wildcats will finish up the 2025 season with a trip to San Dieg to compete in the Trust & Will Holiday Bowl against the SMU Mustangs on Friday, Jan. 2. Tickets to the game are available for purchase
