Kaiah Altmeyer in the fifth inning.
Altmeyer went 2-for-3 with three RBI to lead the Wildcats to the upset over the Crimson Tide. Freshman
Emma Kavanagh went 2-for-2 with an RBI.
Sydney Stewart and
Devyn Netz also drove in two runs each.

Following two scoreless innings, Arizona struck first with two runs in the third. Stewart hit a two-RBI single through the right side to give the Cats a 2-0 run. Â Â

Alabama plated one run in the top of the fifth on an RBI groundout to bring the game within one. Â

Arizona's offense exploded for seven runs in the fifth to walk off the Crimson Tide.
Devyn Netz drove in the first two runs of the inning with a two-run double. Kavanagh hit an RBI single and
Tayler Biehl loaded the bases with a perfectly placed bunt.
Kiki Escobar took advantage of a passed ball to score from third to give Arizona a 6-1 lead. With the bases still loaded, Altmeyer hit a double to right center to score Kavanagh, Biehl, and
Regan Shockey to win the game.

Miranda Stoddard picked up the win against Alabama after going 4.1 innings in the circle and allowing just one run on four hits. Stoddard retired nine straight batters through the first three innings of the game.
Ryan Maddox entered in relief in the fifth to pick up the save – the first of her career. Â
