LUBBOCK, Texas – Arizona Track & Field completed their first ever Big 12 Indoor Championships on Saturday.
The day was highlighted by conference titles for two seniors:
Zach Landa and
Trayvion White-Austin. Landa won the men's shot put and White-Austin won the men's 200m with a school record time. Landa was named the 2025 Big 12 Indoor Track & Field Championship Men's High Point Performer, as he also finished runner-up in the men's weight throw on Friday and scored a total of 18 points.
It was an impressive competition for the Wildcats with the team having two conference champions, 22 point scorers, five school records, and numerous personal bests across the two days of competition, hosted by Texas Tech. Overall, both the men's and women's teams placed seventh.
"It was the very first Big 12 Championships ever for us and the energy level that we had as a team and as a conference was really special," said the Director of Track & Field/Cross Country
Fred Harvey. "It allowed our athletes to compete at the highest level. We were seventh overall in what I consider to be the best indoor conference championship in the country and the times and performances prove that."
