TUCSON, Ariz. – On Wednesday, the NCAA released a list of male swimmers selected to compete in the Division 1 NCAA Championships and seven Wildcats made the final cut.
Ralph Daleiden, Tomas Lukminas, Haakon Naughton, Jadan Nabor, Lars Kuljus, Hunter Ingram and Miles Bottai will all travel to Federal Way March 27-30 to compete in the Championships.
Daleiden, Lukminas and Naughton all qualified for three individual events. Daleiden and Lukminas will swim the 50, 100 and 200 freestyle events in addition to competing in the 400 and 800 freestyle relays. Naughton will swim the 200 IM and the 100 and 200 butterfly events in Federal Way.
Nabor and Ingram rounded out the 400 free relay, while Kuljus and Bottai secured the final two spots in the 800 free relay.
Lukminas set an Arizona record in the 100 free at the Big 12 Championships, putting up a program-best time of 41.56 that also ranks as the No. 17 time in the nation.
Daleiden holds the ninth best time in the country in the 200 free, with his 1:31.48 leadoff leg of the 800 free relay that set a new Big 12 Championship meet record for the event.
Naughton sits at No. 24 in the country for the 100 fly (44.94) and No. 19 in the 200 fly (1:40.55). Both times are personal bests for Naughton and put him at No. 2 in program history for both events.
Arizona's 400 free relay is the 17th-best in the nation (2:48.65), while the 800 free relay sits at No. 9 (6:10.62) and is the best in Arizona history.
The men's championships will be held at Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatics Center in Federal Way, Washington March 26-29. The meet will be streamed on ESPN+.
