MANHATTAN, Kan. – After securing two dominant victories last weekend, No. 35 Arizona Women's Tennis is set for another challenging road trip, facing Kansas State, No. 48 Tulsa, and No. 34 Oklahoma State.
The Wildcats will begin their weekend in Manhattan, Kansas, taking on Kansas State on Friday, March 21st at 3:00 p.m. MST. This marks the first meeting between the two teams since 2021, when Arizona came out on top with a 4-0 sweep. Kansas State enters the matchup with no ranked players but will look to challenge Arizona's top competitors.
Arizona will then head to Stillwater, Oklahoma, for a Sunday doubleheader, beginning with a 9:00 a.m. MST matchup against No. 48 Tulsa. The Wildcats last faced Tulsa in February 2024, earning a decisive 4-0 victory. Tulsa features one ranked singles player, No. 65 Maria Berlanga, along with two ranked doubles teams—No. 67 Lily Hutchings and Berlanga, and No. 82 Mariana Manyoma Velasquez and Ana Paula Naranjo Martinez Kobas.
Later that day, Arizona will take on No. 34 Oklahoma State at 1:00 p.m. MST. The Wildcats last met the Cowgirls in 1992, securing a 5-0 win. Oklahoma State presents a formidable challenge, boasting four ranked singles players—No. 21 Ange Oby Kajuru, No. 58 Gracie Epps, No. 81 Anastasiya Komar, and No. 104 Marcela Lopez. The Cowgirls also feature two ranked doubles teams, No. 39 Rose Marie Nijkamp and Komar, as well as No. 73 Kajuru and Komar.
Individually, Arizona is led by No. 47 Josie Usereau in singles, while the doubles duo of Midori Castillo-Meza and Martyna Ostrzygalo hold the No. 52 national ranking.
