TUCSON, Ariz. - The Wildcats are on the final stretch of three practices leading up to the Spring Showcase at Arizona Stadium at 6 p.m. on Saturday, April 19. 

Today, the Wildcats competed in one of their most physical and energetic spring practices of camp so far, executing live drills and tackling on Day 13 of spring camp. 

All of the work culminates with the Spring Showcase on April 19 at 6 p.m. at Arizona Stadium. 

After practice Special Teams Coordinator Craig Naivar, kicker/punter Michael Salgado-Medina, and wide receiver Luke Wysong (representing the punt/kick returners) spoke with the media. 

Quote of the Day 

"When I was a player it (Special Teams) was a pathway to get on the football field. I was a high school quarterback, played in defensive back a little bit, went to college as a quarterback, and did not excel at that. I got moved to secondary school, did not excel at that, and needed to find a pathway to get on the field. I loved it. Just the energy, the excitement, and the fact that you can run around and do things you can't legally do in public. Running around hitting people and doing those things is pretty appealing. So, but more importantly, it drew me to my teammates on both sides of the ball because you brought value to the team." - Coach Naivar.
