TUCSON, Ariz. – Arizona Women's Basketball head coach Becky Burke announced the addition of Nora Francois, a 6-foot-2 senior forward from Minneapolis, Minn., to the 2024-25 roster. Francois transfers in from the University of New Orleans after a standout career that included stops at North Iowa Area Community College.

Francois was named Second Team All-Southland Conference this past season and made history as the first Privateer since 1989 to be named Southland Conference Player of the Week three times in one year. She averaged 15.0 points and 8.2 rebounds per game as a senior—ranking third and fifth in the conference, respectively.

Francois delivered a triple-double with 19 points, 19 rebounds, and 10 assists against East Texas A&M—becoming the first Southland player since 2019 to accomplish the feat. She also added five blocks and three steals in that performance, highlighting her elite all-around game.

Francois tallied seven 20-point games during her senior campaign, including a season-high 26 points against Baylor, and recorded five double-doubles. She finished her Privateer career with 490 total rebounds, while also ranking among the conference leaders in free throw percentage, blocks, and steals.

Before her time at New Orleans, Francois played one season at North Iowa Area Community College, where she averaged 10.1 points and 4.8 rebounds per game. A two-sport athlete at Minnetonka High School in Minnesota, she became the first female in program history to play varsity basketball as an eighth grader and helped lead her team to a state championship in 2019.

Francois is expected to bring experience, physicality, and a competitive edge to the Wildcats' frontcourt as Arizona continues to build momentum heading into its second season in the Big 12 Conference.
