TUCSON, Ariz. - The Wildcats competed on the Tomey Practice Fields at the halfway point of spring camp, marking Day 8 of spring football practice.
Incorporating new talent, growing personally, and building good habits during Day 8 of practice. The Wildcats practice featured full-contact periods and plenty of real football situations to continue building the competitive level toward a championship-caliber program under second-year Head Coach
Brent Brennan.
The running back room features a lot of versatility with multiple backs that can make plays on the ground, block, and catch out of the backfield.
All of the work culminates with the
Spring Showcase on April 19 at 6 p.m. MST at Arizona Stadium. The Spring Showcase is open and free to the public and will celebrate the final day of spring practice.
Quote of the Day
"A lot of versatility. Coach Doege is a great play-caller with a lot of energy. You have to be able to do it all. Need to be able to run, have physical play, Redline effort, 100-100 mentality but you also need to catch and pass protect. We've got one of the best quarterbacks in the country so we take a lot of pride in protecting him. Also, being versatile enough to catch the ball out of the back field. Coach Doege is utilizing the skill-set of the young men that we have. I am very excited to have a room that fits what he wants to do." - Coach Carter.
