TUCSON, Ariz. — The No. 31 Arizona Wildcats won their final home match of the season against the No. 37 TCU Horned Frogs on Saturday afternoon. The Cats defeated TCU 4-1 on Senior Day at the LaNelle Robson Tennis Center.

The Wildcats lost the doubles point to the Horned Frogs in hard-fought battles on all three courts. 

In the top doubles spot, Arizona's Danielle Tuhten and Josie Usereau fell to TCU's No. 25-ranked pair of Jade Otway and Isabel Pascual 6-3. Then, on court three, TCU's Raquel Caballero and Tomi Main defeated Midori Castillo and Belen Nevenhoven 6-4 to give TCU the first point in the match. 

Despite the loss of the doubles point, the Wildcats rallied in singles play, taking four straight points to win the match. 

On court three, Martyna Ostrzygalo earned a decisive 6-1, 6-1 victory over TCU's Isabel Pascual, tying the match at 1-1. At the fourth sport, Tanvi Narendran carried this momentum, quickly following Ostrzygalo's victory with one of her own, defeating TCU's Yu-Chin Tsai 6-1, 6-3. 

At the top singles spot, Josie Usereau demonstrated her resilience against TCU's Jade Otway, coming back from a first-set loss (4-6) to take the next two sets 6-3, 6-2 and earn the Wildcats' third point of the match. 

Zoya Chaluk delivered the clinching point for the Wildcats on court six, earning a hard-fought 7-6, 6-3 victory against TCU's Cayetana Gay. 

Prior to the match, seniors Midori Castillo and Belen Nevenhoven were celebrated in a Senior Day ceremony that highlighted their many contributions to the Arizona women's tennis team and the University of Arizona community.

With this win, the Wildcats concluded their season at home, and will now head to Colorado to face No. 71 University of Colorado in another Big 12 matchup on Friday, April 11 at 5 p.m. MST.
