STANFORD, Calif. – No. 16 Arizona (12-4) took down No. 10 Stanford and Santa Clara on the third day of the DeMarini Invitational.

Game 1 | No. 16 Arizona 4, No. 10 Stanford 1
Arizona upset Stanford in the first game of the day, 4-1. The Wildcats scored four runs on one hit and drew three walks.

In the circle,
Rylie Holder picked up her third win of the season, going six innings and allowing one run on six hits.
Jalen Adams entered in the seventh with the tying run at the plate and retired the three batters she faced.

The Cardinal scored first with a solo home run in the second inning to take a 1-0 lead.

Arizona tied the game at 1-1 in the top of the third with an RBI groundout from
Regan Shockey to score
Kiki Escobar from third base.

In the top of the sixth,
Grace Jenkins broke the tie with a three-run home run to right center to give Arizona a 4-1 lead.

The Wildcats were able to keep the Cardinal from scoring in the seventh to secure the win.

Game 2 | No. 16 Arizona 11, Santa Clara 1
The Wildcats won the second game of the day, 11-1, against Santa Clara. Arizona plated 11 runs on 13 hits and drew five walks.
Sereniti Trice went 3-for-4 with three RBI and
Jenna Sniffen went 2-for-4 and drove in four runs.

Arizona scored two runs in the first inning to open the game.
Sydney Stewart drew a bases-loaded walk to bring in the first run and
Kez Lucas drove in a run on a groundout.

Santa Clara plated one in the third inning on an RBI double.

The Cats added two runs in the fourth inning. Sniffen drove in both runs with a single down the left line.

In the seventh, Arizona plated six to extend the lead to 11-1.
Tayler Biehl scored the first run of the inning on a wild pitch. Sniffen drove in two more runs with a double and
Addison Duke had an RBI single. Trice dropped a single over the second baseman to drive in two more runs for Arizona.

Jalen Adams picked up the win to improve to 7-3 on the season and
Sarah Wright earned her second save of the season. Adams went four innings and allowed just one run on three while and struck out two Broncos. Wright entered in the fifth and closed out the game, holding Santa Clara scoreless on two hits.
