KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Arizona earned the No. 15 seed in the 2026 Phillips 66 Big 12 Women's Basketball Championship and will face No. 10 seed Arizona State on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. CT (4:30 p.m. MST) at T-Mobile Center.
The winner will advance to the second round of the tournament.
Wednesday's matchup marks the fourth postseason meeting between the in-state rivals and the first in the Big 12 era. Arizona and Arizona State previously met in postseason play in 1973, 2002 and 2012. The Wildcats are 1-2 against the Sun Devils in those matchups, including a 47-46 win in 1973.
Arizona and Arizona State have met 112 times overall in a series that dates back to 1973.
The Phillips 66 Big 12 Women's Basketball Tournament runs March 4-8 in Kansas City, with the tournament champion receiving the conference's automatic berth to the NCAA Tournament.
