TUCSON, Ariz. – One of the top high school players in the country, Caleb Holt, will join head coach
Tommy Lloyd and the Arizona Wildcats as a freshman for the 2026-27 season. Holt is the No. 4 overall recruit in the country and has a decorated prep career while competing at the highest level.

Most recently, Holt scored 24 points for the USA team at the Nike Hoop Summit game in Portland, finishing 9 of 18 from the floor and 4 of 9 from the 3-point line. He was named co-MVP of the McDonald's All-American game earlier this spring in Glendale, finishing with 11 points, five rebounds and four assists. He will be the 33
rd McDonald's All-American to play at Arizona and the sixth recruited by Lloyd to Tucson.

Holt is wrapping up his senior season Prolific Prep in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, which was ranked in the Top 5 throughout the 2025-26 season and finished with a 34-4 record while playing a national schedule. Holt helped the team win the Grind Session Playoffs by scoring 16 points in the championship game.

He played his junior season at Grayson high school in Georgia, where he averaged 18 points, eight rebounds and was named MaxPreps Junior All-American and Metro Player of the Year while guiding Grayson to the 6A state semifinals.

Holt spent his freshman and sophomore seasons at Buckhorn High School in Alabama, where he became the first sophomore to be named Alabama Mr. Basketball. As a sophomore, he averaged 20 points, nine rebounds, three steals and two assists while leading the team to its second straight Class 6A state championship. He was also named Gatorade Alabama Player of the Year, MaxPreps Alabama Player of the Year and state tournament MVP for a second time. His freshman year, he scored 32 points in the state title game and was named state tournament MVP and Class 6A Player of the Year as well.

While he has had a decorated scholastic career, he has also excelled on the international stage, winning three gold medals with various USA Basketball Junior National Teams. In 2025, he helped the U19 team win go 7-0 and win the FIBA World Cup in Switzerland while averaging 10 points, 3.4 rebounds and 2.7 steals for head coach
Tommy Lloyd. He helped the U17 team win gold at the FIBA U17 World Cup in 2024 and brough home gold at the FIBA U16 Americas Championship in Mexico in 2023.
