Played for the Orleans Firebirds of the Cape Cod Baseball League…Posted four home runs, 13 RBI, 22 hits and two doubles in 33 games for the Firebirds.
 
Arizona 2017 
First-Team All-Pac-12 Selection…Played in 55 games with 46 starts…Batted .284 in 176 at-bats…Had 10 doubles, two triples, two home runs and 34 RBI…Threw out 11 of 37 baserunners behind the plate…Had three 3-hit games on the season…Went 3 for 5 with two RBI and a double against Oregon on April 15…Went 3 for 6 with three RBI in a 7-6 win over Delaware in the NCAA Tournament…Went 5 for 13 in the postseason for the Wildcats with a team-high five RBI…Tied for team postseason lead with five hits…For the season, posted 14 multi-hit games and nine multi-RBI games…Carried a six-game hitting streak from April 13 versus Oregon to April 25 versus New Mexico State…Blasted his first career home run at UCLA (3/17)…Also homered versus Washington (5/6) for his first career home run at Hi Corbett Field…Batted .287 in Pac-12 games, starting 23 games.

Summer 2016
Played in 23 games with the La Crosse Loggers of the Northwoods League…Posted a .276 batting average with two home runs, 15 RBI and 12 runs scored…Hit a grand slam against Wilmar (7/21) for his first home run of the summer. 

Arizona 2016
Lafayette Regional All-Tournament Team...Played in 62 games with 54 starts as a freshman backstop…Hit .276 with 30 runs scored, nine doubles and 28 RBI…Posted a .992 fielding percentage and threw out 10 of 36 baserunners…Third on the team with four postseason doubles…Batted .255 in the postseason with nine runs scored…His 11^th-inning walk-off single against Mississippi State in Game 2 of the Super Regionals sent Arizona to the College World Series for the 17^th time in program history…Went 4 for 5 with three RBI, three runs scored and two doubles at Washington (3/20)…Went 2 for 4 with two doubles and two runs scored against Louisiana (6/6) in a potential elimination game…Went 2 for 2 with three runs scored and a triple against Oklahoma State (6/24) in the College World Series…Went 5 for 13 with three RBI and two doubles in the final series of the regular season at Hawaii…Went 7 for 12 in a three-game series at Washington…Struck out just 24 times in 196 at-bats. 

High School
Played his high school ball at Sahuaro in Tucson … Earned the Hal Eustice Award for baseball Player of the Year … He batted .613 in 62 at bats during his senior season while tallying 16 RBI, nine doubles, four triples and four home runs.

Is the son of Cesar and Patricia Salazar … Has one younger sister … Has not declared a major yet.
