Summer 2017
Had a standout season with the Orleans Firebirds of the Cape Cod Baseball League…Appeared in 14 games, posting a 1.01 ERA in 26 2/3 innings…Allowed just three earned runs total…Posted 40 strikeouts to 13 walks…Didn't allow an earned run in 13 of his 14 appearances…Finished his season with a 14-inning scoreless streak, totaling 25 strikeouts to just four hits…Co-Arizona Baseball Summer Pitcher of the Year with Robby Medel.

Arizona 2017
All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention selection…Posted a 3.86 ERA in 53 2/3 innings…Went 5-3 with two saves…Started 10 games and made 12 relief appearances…Allowed 56 hits, while striking out 49 batters to 19 walks…Went a season-long 6 1/3 scoreless innings at College of Charleston (5/14), allowing six hits, striking out four and walking just one in a 6-0 victory…The following week at Arizona State (5/20), he went 6 innings, allowing eight hits, one run, one walk and striking out four in a 9-5 win to improve to 5-2 on the season…Struck out six batters over two scoreless innings at Oregon State (3/25)…Tossed three hitless innings versus USC (4/1), striking out five to earn his first save of the season…Struck out five over four scoreless innings versus New Mexico State (4/25)…Earned his first win of the season versus New Mexico State (3/21), going 3 2/3 scoreless innings, allowing three hits and striking out two…Pitched a scoreless innings, striking out three in a 7-6 win over Delaware in the NCAA Tournament (6/3)…Team went 17-5 in games he appeared in.

High School
Deason was a three-year varsity letterwinner at Nordhoff High School. While at Nordhoff, he sported a 2.77 ERA, while striking out 81 batters in 73.1 innings pitched. He posted a miniscule 0.78 ERA during his senior season. Deason was an all-conference performer and was named a 2015 Perfect Game Third Team All-American (California).
