Below you will find guidelines for covering Arizona Softball at Hillenbrand Stadium during the 2021 season. Please carefully read all of the below notes prior to arriving at Hillenbrand Stadium, as many procedures have changed from previous years.Â
If you have any questions about the following guidelines, please contact Danny Martinez via text/call at (520) 409-1810 or over email at
danny.martinez@arizona.edu.
GENERAL GUIDELINES:
- Arizona Softball will not be issuing season credentials for 2021. All credentials for the 2021 season will be issued on a single-game basis. Requests must be made at least 24 hours before first pitch of the game you wish to attend — for multi-game series, the deadline is 24 hours before first pitch of game one of the series. This is a hard deadline with ZERO exceptions.
- UPDATE (2/24): All credentialed individuals must enter Hillenbrand Stadium through the main entrance, signing in at the ticket office.
- Media Will Call will be open 60 minutes before first pitch of the first Arizona game of each day and will close after the first inning of the first Arizona game of the day. Anyone expecting to arrive outside of that window, or wishing to cover any non-Arizona games during tournaments will have to make special arrangement prior to the day with Danny Martinez.
- The Wildcat Wellcheck web system is required to be used by all credentialed guests prior to entry. Visit visitors.wellcheck.arizona.edu to complete this step on the day of the game you are attending before arriving at Hillenbrand Stadium.
- Per University of Arizona guidelines, all guests are expected to wear a face covering at all times while at Hillenbrand Stadium.
- Only individuals approved to receive credentials will have access to Hillenbrand Stadium — NO swapping of names within an organization or otherwise will be permitted.
- No press box access will be allowed to media in 2021. There will be six spots available for media seating in the Hillenbrand Stadium Alumni Plaza.
- Consumption of food and drinks throughout the entire venue is discouraged, but not prohibited. Please limit food to small snack items, which should be consumed quickly and discreetly. Face covering required unless actively eating or drinking.
- Absolutely NO tobacco products or sunflower seeds.
- There will be ZERO field access for credentialed guests at all 2021 Arizona softball home games — this includes before, during, and after the game.
- All credentialed guests must exit Hillenbrand Stadium 60 minutes following the conclusion of postgame media availability.
- There will be no printed gameday materials provided at Arizona softball games in 2021. Digital versions of gameday materials can all be found on this page.
PHOTOGRAPHY & VIDEOGRAPHY GUIDELINES:
- The photo wells beyond each dugout will be reserved for institutional photographers/videographers of each participating team.
- There will be a maximum of two people per photo/video well. If both spots are not being used by institutional photographers, outside photographers/videographers can utilize the space.
- During TV games, it is expected that network guidelines will prohibit other photographers/videographers from utilizing the photo wells due to social distancing.Â
- Still photographers and videographers will be allowed to shoot from anywhere in the Hillenbrand Stadium seating bowl, with a few exceptions:
- Sitting/standing/laying on top of either dugout is not allowed.
- Sections 3, 4 and 5 (the lower sections behind home plate) will be reserved for those in either the team or UA testing protocol.
- Photographers in that area must remain at least six feet away from all on-field participants.
- All photographers/videographers must remain at least six feet away from one another and should make sure to not block site lines of those behind them.Â
