Summer 2019
Arias made nine appearances, all starts, for the Mat-Su Miners in the Alaska Baseball League...Registered 44.0 innings of work...Lled the team and ranked second in the league with 47 strikeouts while limiting opposing hitters to a .247 batting average...Closed out the summer strong, allowing just one earned run and striking out 12 over his final two starts.

George Alexander Arias…Son of George and Rachel Arias…Father played baseball at Arizona in 1993, appearing in 60 games and hitting .345 with 23 home runs and 75 RBI; 23 home runs are second-most in a single season in UA history; went on to play Major League Baseball with the California/Anaheim Angels and San Diego Padres…Two younger siblings; brother, Nick, and sister, Alexis…Majored in Criminal Justice Studies with a minor in Creative Writing…Now pursuing graduate certificate in International Security Studies...Outside of baseball enjoys reading books, playing piano, fishing, and binge watching TV shows…Chose Arizona because “it was my dream school.”
