Made an immediate impact as a true freshman, logging time in 22 games with 18 starts in his first collegiate campaign...Posted a .259 batting average with 12 runs scored, three doubles, two home runs, and six RBI...Also drew 15 walks for an impressive .419 on-base percentage...Registered three multi-hit performances and one multi-RBI effort...Made collegiate debut as a defensive replacement on Feb. 24 against West Virginia and did not log an at-bat...Earned first career start the next day on Feb. 25 against West Virginia and went 2-for-4 with a pair of singles...Scored first career run on Feb. 26 against West Virginia (3-for-5, R)...Swatted first career home run, an inside-the-parker, on April 11 against New Mexico State (2-for-4, R, HR, 2 RBI)...Left the ballpark for the first time four days later in a start on April 15 against Washington State (1-for-3, R, HR, RBI)...Reached base safely in 18-of-22 games played, including a 15-game on-base streak that ranked sixth on the team...Saw time defensively in right field, where he made 12 starts and posted a flawless 1.000 fielding percentage on 16 chances.
